Welcome

Ever wished for a good friend with a nice house in a medieval Umbrian hill town with great views over the rolling landscape?

One who knows the way to all the great local restaurants, the best wine producers and historic sights. One who enjoys the simplicity, honesty and fantastic taste of the Italian kitchen and wine. One who pays attention to every detail and caters to all your needs.

Well, now you have such a friend: Il Ghiottone Umbro.

Our Guesthouse

We are taking hospitality right back to the very meaning of the word. Hospitality for us is all about making you feel at home.

Your home away from home is the old historic mill of Todi, that we have transformed into a place to relax and enjoy all the good things in life. A light and airy place, where we have gathered all the things we love. Including a jar of welcome cookies. We welcome you to stay a few nights as a B&B or join us on one of our cooking courses.

Our large panoramic terrace is the perfect place for al fresco breakfasts, a calm day and aperitivi.

A piece of Umbria at home through our Kitchen Notes

Each Note is published seasonally and includes 26 recipes, perfect for preparing your kitchen for the upcoming season. Our recipes are easy and designed to bring joy and inspiration to your own kitchen.

A subscription is €10 for 4 issues – an entire year and more than 100 recipes – with a new issue published every 3-4 months.
